Villenoir Estate
Not all wines can be aged in oak without losing their balance. Thus, aging in oak barrels depends on the nature of the terroir and the style of the particular vintage. White grand cru wines are aged exclusively in new oak barrels, while red grand cru wines are aged only a third to a half in new barrels, depending on the origin of the wine.

The Location
Now the tenth generation, Louis-Fabrice Latour, is at the head of the house. He took over the reins from his father in 1999. Also in parallel with the family business, Latour heads the Association of Burgundian Negociants and the Association of Exporters of French Spirits and Wines.
